Well, while writing the last one I remembered another. Actually it
was our "introduction" to the little darlings.
One Sunday morning (again in San Jose at the time), once again BOB, opens
the kitchen curtains and says "hey, theres a big fat pig walking down the
street!"
I said, "Bob, how could you say that about a neighbor!" "Shame on
you!" and I meant it too at the time~! lol
Anyway, he says, "No, really! There's a big fat pig going down the
street! And its wagging its tail!!"
I said, "oh what now?" "GEeezzz"
And I looked! And it was a real pig! And it WAS wagging it's
little tail like a windshield wipper just crusing down the street all happy
and content to explore the area and the neighbors yards! hehe
We ran outside to see where it would go and it went to a new neighbors
house!
Turns out they didn't think any of us would like a pot-bellied pig in the
neighborhood! Her name was Rosie. And she was! Cute and
friendly.
We reassured them that all the neighbors had tons of cats, dogs, horses (at
the barn of course since we were in a city), and didn't mind Rosie at all.
In fact she became a favorite of all our kids. She even graced our
neighborhood 4th of July parade that year!
