Re: [RC] bradford pear trees - rides2farouir little town in Kansas has them planted all over. The smell is just gaggy to me. I dont' know what species it is, I just don't want any near me! Yeah, there's one by the door to my classroom.When it blooms the kids all think they smell puke and want to know where it's coming from. I'm more loyal to the dogwoods, but the Bradford Pears bloom early and do give you the feeling that spring's coming which makes me fond of them. By the way, there's one by the gate to my field and the horses keep what they can reach trimmed back nicely.
