Hello Truman,
Ya I over simplified the saddle SHAPE idea but responding to the shoe 
analogy at least you don't have to even consider the sizes 1 thru 8 
or 11 thru 13 so it narrows your search criteria. At the present time 
we have no idea what saddle will fit until we see it and put it on.
