Re: [RC] pellet diet - Karen Sullivan----- Original Message ----- From: "Lucy Chaplin Trumbull" <elsietee@xxxxxxxxxxxx> come from a local mill, but seem to be found in the Bay Area as well as the Sacramento Valley and surrounds. Don't know if they supply as far south as you, Catfish? but maybe you can pick some up if you come up this way to visit? These pellets aren't specifically "alfalfa pellets" asthey also have grass hay in them (as well as "other stuff"), but looking at the label, I'm guessing alf. is the main "hay" part of them. They are "pinky finger" sized. Oh - and they are certified weed free, which is another benefit if you go to places that require that. *Hi Lucy, A friend uses these; she gets them in huge barrels that get dropped off....I believe it is supposed to be a balanced and all-inclusive feed that can replace hay. I seem to remember the pellets were bigger than standard alfalfa pellets. She was very pleased with the quality of the pellets......
