[RC] Herding Buffalo - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Kerry Greear kerryannieo@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== It was interesting for me to read the account of this year's roundup at Custer State Park. Been there, done that. However, one only has to round up buffalo herds at other places (Ft. Robinson, NE and the Badlands of SD) to see that "cowboying" the buffalo at Custer State Park is strictly a show. It can be done nicely, with very little chance for anyone to get hurt. Or it can be a media event. I prefer to ride with the crew at Ft. Rob! I'm pleased when people come to see and ride in our beautiful Black Hills. Did you know you can ride at Custer and the Badlands among the buffalo at any time of year? It is awesome to ride on the fringes of the cows and calves in June and admire the old guys who have been banned from the herd during any time of year.
