[RC] Heart Rate monitor usage - JulienneHi everyone, I wanted to get input from everyone whether or not you use a HRM for conditioning/actual rides. Why or why not? I'd like to hear especially from 50+ milers out there if you use them.. My HRM recently went wacko on me and with finances being tight, I'm hesitant on purchasing again. Especially since the last few months or so we've survived without one. The one I was using would give me extremely high numbers at a trot (180+, not normal) that would then drop down into the 70-80s range at a walk.. I can't figure out if it's electrical interference, lack of contact, or just general malfunction.. so I'm trying to figure out if I really *need* one, especially now that I'm moving into the 50s (hopefully).
