If I'm wrong about this, please correct me....The rules for international competition are made by FEI committees, and AERC International does not have the power to appoint representatives to sit on those committees.  That power lies with USET.

Our interface to USEF is AERC International. They are the point man.
It's not USEF's sport - they have no dog it this fight. It's our sport. 
We through AERC International have to take on this fight. Are they up to
it - I doubt it but I sure hope in a year someone can say "Truman were
full of it."
