On the local news (Tallahassee) a few weeks ago, they showed film of people in Homestead, Florida running into their homes being chased by Africanized bees. There was a colony at the base of a dead and hollow tree trunk. They did kill two dogs. BTW, the local scientists blamed Katrina for their appearance.
