i'm a great lover of adding beet pulp to horse's
feed but if you don't want to do that then you could just slightly dampen the
corn and oats to hold the powder.
corn is a good feed and has gotten a bad rap but as
long as you don't over do (as with any feed) and are careful as to the quality
of the grain it's fine to feed. <s> when i was growing up my uncle
kept as many as fifty horses and mules and their only grain was corn on the
ear. those suckers would plough or pull wagons all day long. slow
work but hard.
