i do not want to offend anyone here, but 25's should pay just as much as 50's 
do. vets costs are about the same, camping is the same, insurance is about the 
same, trail prep is the same, meals are the same , labor is the same, t-shirts 
and prizes the same, record keeping is the same. in most cases the vet 
attention is worth more than the fee. if the 25's paid what the 50's did and 
aerc subsidized the 100's  then the 100's could get a heck of a deal! then we 
could build more 100 mile teams. then we could become more competitive all 
around. mike
