[RC] FW: Why multidays are different.. - Alison FarrinTop ten reasons to do a multiday, in no real order <G> 1. I get to ride 5 days for less gas in the tank. 2. I only have to pack the trailer once for 5 days 3. I can teach a new horse to camp while I'm riding the other one 4. If they haven't learned how to eat, they will now 5. If they don't think 50 miles is very far, you can go back out for day 2 6. If they don't think 100 miles is very far, you can go back out for day 3 7. If they don't think 150 miles is very far, you can go back out for day 4 8. If you are still on the same horse and its day five, you know you have a multiday horse! 9. That communion with your horse thing - quadruple it. Add commune with nature in a beautiful setting. 10. Its five times more fun! Alison A. Steph I am very new to all this. Could you, or someone, explain the differences in the FEI and multi day rides? Jo Ann FEI rides are 'International' rides, sanctioned by the FEI (www.horsesport.org) in order to provide a fair and consistent venue for Endurance riding around the world. Regardless of the host nation, all FEI Endurance rides are conducted by the same rules. Multi-day rides are just a variation (multiple days instead of one day) of the 'National' rides held here in the US. Sanctioned by AERC (www.aerc.org) to provide a fair and consistent venue for all Endurance events held in the US. Each country has their own version of a National organization and sanctioning body. Does that help? Steph =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
