RE: [RC] [RC] The cost to riders - Nancy MittsNO, you're not the only one worried. The Central Region ride managers have been actively discussing this on their list. There is much fear ride attendence will suffer. This would be a very bad time for AERC to raise fees. Especially the non-member fee, at a time when some areas are beating the bushes trying to drum up interest in the sport. They need to remember that our most likely propects are NOT show people used to high fees. They are the riders already out there riding the same trails for free.Speaking of fears, I'm shuddering to think of what this will do to my (& other vendor's) businesses. Once riders do get to the ride, how likely are they to decide they need new biothane or saddle packs? There was some impact after the Tsunami, but only a couple weeks while people were donating. This storm will have far greater impact on their purse strings. Well, we're off to ride for the weekend, giving thanks we are able to do so! After all the devastation I've seen on TV, I feel very rich indeed.
