We are having --'run on gas stations'- word spread today, everyone gassing 
up-- some panic starting. Yes -I filled up and we filled our cans. Diesal 
lmay be running low. Son  dabbles in newsservice and  called us.. was a 
shooting at one with 4.00 $ galleon gas. (we were at 2.39 -3 days ago for 
reg. --Today it is 2.79 at the discount ones... people lining up at 2 pm.
 We have 2 pipelines that bring gas into Georgia, both thru the  LA. Miss. 
belt.they then run up to N.Y. --one is off because of Katrina-- They lifted 
the 'special additive"' requirement so they can send in any kind. Something 
like 7-9 refineries are down-(and we haven't been  building new refineries 
in 30 years....--
Georgia Governor said not to panic--- but we should conserve gas and stay 
home for Labor day (read between the lines)
 No gas cans in the Walmart---I did get extra feed --becasue I don't know 
who else will get extra feed 'in case' and the big barns can swoop down  and 
empty the feed stores quick....
 Interstates are closed going into LA.--I-10  and I -59 at the  borders ,
