Re: [RC] wide/narrow twist/ synergist saddle - Lynne GlazerChris, way more people like wide twists than narrow twists, in my experience, like 4 or 5 to 1. Guys especially, seems like most Western saddles and a lot of the Western endurance saddles are wide-- like the Boz saddles I've sat in. My Sports Saddles didn't bother me like they do some people who prefer narrower twists, but then I like to ride bareback too. Stand in front of a mirror, nekked, and notice how your femurs angle out of your hips. I'm more of an A-frame. You might be more of an H. I'm fairly bowlegged. The tightness of your hips (ligaments? too lazy to check) has something to do with your comfort level in various saddles. Most of us have one tight one and one looser one, affecting how our legs drape around the horse, you can see it in photos, particularly from the knee down. Sure shows up in yoga. And on a fitball.Lynne On Aug 29, 2005, at 1:46 PM, Chris Paus wrote: I must be weird. I do much better in a wide twist saddle.
