Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

In our area, in our nearby state park, the California Grizzly lived; went 
extinct (with help of people) about 100 years ago.  Two local men were 1) 
killed and 2) maimed (lost his leg) as a result of grizzly attacks.  Now 
tell me that re-introducing the grizzly bear into a state park is a smart 
thing to do.  I do hope no one is planning that.  There have been enough 
really dumb things done in the name of preserving wildlife that probably 
didn't need any help in the first place.  If grizzlies were to be 
re-introduced into Big Basin and Rancho del Oso (translates to Ranch of the 
Bear), Swanton Pacific is cancelled permanently.
