Re: [RC] Girly Trucks - Lynne GlazerOh, things I learned along the way with this '01 truck: replace the fuel filter every 30K. Mandatory--the injector pump gets cooled by the fuel, and they are spendy if you overheat one (I think I did, but they replaced it and the fuel pump under warranty! The old '95 went 100K between fuel filters. But it only went 30K between tranny filter oil changes, this '01 goes 100K between. My best war story about this truck: 84,500 miles on the factory Michelins. (You know the difference between a war story and a nursery rhyme? A nursery rhyme starts out "once upon a time...", and a war story starts out "Now this ain't no S**T!") The '95 went 60,000 per set, and that one was a dually, so getting the extra mileage was really nice. I think I'll get my brake pads replaced at 100K. :-) Salesmen, I had no trouble getting technical with either of the sales guys on these trucks--and I was quite the shade tree mechanic, with a maintenance specialty in the Army too. Dealing with the fleet guys was the way to go. Lynne On Aug 22, 2005, at 9:59 PM, Karen Sullivan wrote:
