I know what you mean. My next door neighbor lost a leg from the knee down, but, on his third attempt, made it to the top of Mt. Everest. The thing that irritates me about such people is that I can never again make a legitimate excuse for why I can't do a particular thing in life. It's so much easier to lead the untested life full of excuses.
