re: [RC] driving with trailer RANT Sorry... - Gloria Adams

BOY! Does this sound like MY husband, unfortunately… I now have 1 horse that won’t get in the trailer because of his driving (going off the road onto a shoulder because he is ditzing/ gaping/ looking around/ trying to read while driving like the proverbial woman driver; denting the horse dividers from horses slamming to his braking stop; bending wheels & getting flats from cornering fast & too close, going over curbs, etc.

& this J _ _ _ (fill in the blank) has been driving horses for 15 yrs (& riding them more than me – so this is no “Doing a Favor for Wifee” situation). Do you think he’d listen to his wife? NOT! Do you think he’d let me drive his “Precious” – from Gollum – truck, nope.

I hope he sees this on ridecamp…

Sorry, had to rant as I’m tired of the scared, hurt horses, & worry, & expenses from trailer/truck repair.

Subject: [RC]   driving with trailer

My = pet peeve is the people who haul their trailers like they are driving = without anything behind them without taking consideration for the amount = of extra road they need to stop that rig.  I know that a lot of the new = trucks haul the goosenecks like they aren't even back there.  So flying = down the road at 75 feels comfortable but it certainly not safe.
