"Just a Rock" a registered AQHA horse ridden by Chris Littlefield did win in LD, first place more than any other horse I competed with in the South part of the SE a couple of years ago and did well with some BC placement too I think. She has taken him up to do fifties and distance rides but I don't see her/them as much. Maybe Limited distance ride ("LD's) will give you an idea how you and your horse might like the sport and if competition is important to both you/fun will sell this sport if competition is not the only factor you consider. Could win, or place; but remember in this sport to finish is to win!
