[RC] on the subject of water elimination - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Teresa Van Hove tvanhove@xxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== We're never in a rush, and she's happy and relaxed but doesn't appear thirsty. Just sniffs or pushes her nose around in the water. Thus far our rides have been 2-3 hours with an occasional 4-5 hour. Since she's so soft we have many long slow miles to cover before ever doing endurance, so maybe I should relax about the not drinking and just keep offering. Neither has she ever urinated on the trail, on the trailer, or until she gets back to her paddock. >>>>>>>>>>> Oh dear, poor little show horse. I think they train them not to pee, and she's probly not drinking so she wont have to pee. Sposedly helps to bring used bedding to encourage them to pee away from home -something I read on RC ages ago for encouring them to go at a VC. Also I don't know if you are riding alone, but they do tend to go when another horse does, so riding with a good drinker and relaxed, I'll urinate anywhere, horse might help. Cheers, Teresa and Grey and Shade (they're not a bit bashful) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
