I can wait..."I do try to do what I can to educate, within my limited grasp of endurance. Unfortunately, while I do understand why Al bonked 5 miles from the finish in '95, and Sketer took 25 minutes to pulse down in '91, I have no idea why Ranger crashed in '00. To my credit I have not repeated the mistakes I made with Sketer and Al. I usually confine my education efforts to newbies. I hosted a clinic this spring, and when I have managed rides paired up newbies and mentors. I have no interest in studying which group gets into trouble more often, because my guess is the result would not be worth the effort, if the goal is the welfare of the horse.
