Re: [RC] horse buyers beware - Donna ForresterI had somewhat of the same horse buying experience once. We live where it's difficult to just "drive" to another state and check out a horse ( Alaska). I was working with a lady that was selling a reining horse, stallion. I wasn't dickering on the price ( But would have if it was a local horse and I was "there") I told her that We were sure we wanted the horse as long as it "checked out" with my parents who were going to fly down to ride the horse for me since I couldn't get away. We set up an appointment at the owners convenience. with in hours of my parents flying out I was lucky enough to check my e-mail ( not even a phone call!!) only to see. " I Sold the horse today, someone offered me Cash". OK, We agreed on the full asking price, Plus I would pay feed and board until Transportation could be lined up. Did she think I was going to Pay in anything less than CASH?? Some people just need to learn to be more ethical in their business practices.
