[RC] Trivia Question - about "Fred" and Hal Hall - Ridecamp Guest

I have a question about "Fred" the horse that won OD and Tevis in 95 I think it 
was.   I looked up his ride record and it shows him as being ridden by Hal Hall 
in the Lassen Challenge ride in Sept the year he won Tevis and then a couple 
entries with Oury's.  I thought I had read that a James Oury from Illinois 
bought Fred at the Tevis finish.  So is this a case of a transposed horse AERC 
# in the ride records or was "Fred" really ridden by Hal Hall at this Lassen 
ride the month after he won Tevis?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can fill in the history for me.
