hmmm,  i think if the horse is wearing boots, it isnt barefoot.   to me, barefoot is, well, barefoot.   i ride in the southeast region, and i have ridden my horse barefoot in some 50 mile rides.  i have also ridden him with steel shoes on his feet.   i did some ctr with him and he was wearing easyboots.     hope i'm not stepping on anyone's "barefeet".       cowboy ed
