[RC] Feeding - Kathy Ramspott

Quick question.

I have to trailer for an hour then I ride at the walk for about an hour then I trailer home for an hour. The hour on the trails is hilly so the horse is working up a good sweat. We are JUST starting conditioning. Should I feed before heading out and if so how long before or would you feed after getting back home? I have been waiting and feeding after we get home but I'm wondering if this is not the best idea. He is out 24/7 on pasture with hay in front of them also. I grain a 10% grain right now (2 lbs per feeding) and some soaked beet pulp.
He is an Aware of everything around him at all times Arab so I've been worried about him getting an upset stomach if I fed him before the trailering and riding.

Thanks for any input.

Kathy
