Re: [RC] hmmmm, public perception... - Truman PrevattYou won't win any converts with that argument. What do you do with a horse that can turn 20 million in stud fees his four year old year on - keep racing him? I don't think so. What do you do with a 16 year old gelding - Arabian to boot - that is sound and usable, riding him is about the only choice. The way you beat public perception is to bring them out to a ride and show them how the ride is run. Of course I've been at some endurance rides where I've gotten sicken at what was going on. Ten horses on IV's is not a pretty sight and it does happen. We still have some work to do. While public perception can take on a life of it's own - the basis of it is usually based in some truth. We still have work to do. Truman Stacy Sadar wrote: I know! What a joke. You know what I started telling people.... Our horses continue to "run" alot longer than other disciplines. Take a look at how long a race horse lasts...not long. -- "The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. The opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth."
