Congratulations., Andrea.  I too learned a lot from Ridecamp that I don't
think my very excellent vets really knew...that an apparant cryptorchid
might just be between growth spurts.  I did have my colt gelded surgically,
but it was a relatively minor procedure because the second testicle was
ready to descend.  I wish I had had the same good advice you had.  I would
have waited, especially since the little guy has remained very studly so the
surgery from the standpoint of behavioral issues was only modestly
successful.  But...birth control is birth control.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone. Several months ago I posted about my
colt having only one testical. Vet said he needed surgery friends said he
needed to be gelded. Thanks to the advice of ride camp I gave the (little
fella) some time. He will be two in march. Well last night I gave him a feel
and We have TWO! This may sound silly to many of you but this was my first
young horse. I'm so happy I  waited. Thanks everyone.
