[RC] Going to rides in Canada - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Kathleen Ferguson kathleenmarie@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Hey Becky! I live in Okanoagan, WA about 40 miles south of Osoyoos. It is the best border crossing for the British Columbia rides. My riding partners, Deb and Kim, and I do all the Canadian rides because they are closer to us than any other NW rides. The Canadians are superb hosts and put on a fantastic series of rides. Heidi is right, you have to have an International Health Certificate to accompany all your other paperwork. Your own vet should be able to get it for you. You can have your vet send it in for the Federal Vet's stamp OR you can meet the Federal Vet at Osoyoos and have him stamp it right before you go over which extends the time it is good for. We would be happy to have you be included in our appointment with the Federal Vet at the border. We could also guide you to the ride camps from the border. In fact, if you want to come over a day ahead of time and break your trip into two days I have room for you and your horse to stay overnight (Kim might as well). Email me if you are interested and we can exchange phone #'s. We will be at the PNER conference next week; will you? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
