[RC] Lions and Tigers and Bears - Dot Wiggins

Back when I was a child, the Circus came to town on the train and then moved
everything a mile or more to the show site "on foot" or in wagons. We
alsways rode over to watch. The elephants, and there were a lot, pulled
some of the wagons, and then were used to pull up the big tent poles and
drag the canvas over them.
Some of the horses we rode were "interested", others pretty spooky. The
wagons with the big cats, monkeys, snakes, etc., caused lots of snorts and
shys.
I do agree that the camels seemed to be the biggest boogers. Upwind always
let us get closer than downwind.
And we always went back by sunrise the day they left to search around the
ticket booths for dropped coins. Good return on the time invested, we
usually got there before the town kids.
What today's kids have missed!!!!!
