Re: [RC] re: 100 mile volunteering-a bone to pick - Truman PrevattCindy Collins wrote:(Disclaimer: I am not officially ride management. Cindy you make some wonderful points. What could be a better vacation for someone that has been saying "I want to do a 100" than come out and help mark and work the Big Horn to see just what it is and to make sure it keeps going. Think about it a week in the Big Horn mountains, riding your horse marking trail, helping out, etc. It would not only give you the incentive to go do a 100, but would be a of great service to our oldest 100 mile ride. So the next time you say "I'm going to do a 100 some day" think about going out to WY on vacation, riding some, helping out. Maybe that will push you over the edge to do a 100, but even if it doesn't you will have a good time, get in some good riding and help out a ride that needs all the volunteers it can get.
