RE: [SPAM] [RC] The Science of Sport Boots...please READ! - heidiHope everyone learned a little when reading this, let me know what you think?? Personally I am thinking about trying them out in Endurance. I saw data presented somewhere (AAEP, possibly?) that indicated that the effectiveness of the sports boots is almost completely gone after about 20-30 minutes. If memory serves, the thought was that perhaps with repeated motion, the boots loosen just a tad. So their efficacy on endurance horses is doubtful. Additionally, I'm not willing to put something on a normal horse's legs that holds in heat. If a horse has a specific need, that's one thing--but to subject a fit horse that doesn't need help to something like that is not something I'm willing to do.
