Re: [RC] feeding question - Mary KraussAm I wrong in thinking the amount of sugar/carbs in an apple and a carrot, or a cup of applesauce, is insignificant to a horse that is not demonstrating any problems other than too much weight? Or are they truly this sensitive? I hadn't considered it enough to matter and certainly assume it's better than any sort of grain. On Friday, July 8, 2005, at 10:20 PM, Mary Sutliff wrote: Overweight horses are often insulin resistant and if so they should not have carrots, apples, grain or grass! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
