Re: [RC] Truck opinions wanted - Dyane SmithI had an F250 with a carburator (1986 or 1987) and had a lot of problems. I replaced it with a 1989 and have not had problems with that at all. (Of course, it's now an old truck that has to haul 10,000 pounds over a 7% grade on a regular basis, so I really take care to nip any problems in the bud as soon as they rear their tiny little heads). But, all an all the fuel injection has been a pleasure. The owner says that it runs well, but needs new brakes. He has only had it for a year. I would take it to my mechanic to be checked over to see what work it might need. He wasn't crazy about the idea of a carburetor instead of fuel injection. It would be my first truck and is in my budget.... :-) It might be used only for hauling though as the gas mileage is half that of my van. Opinions? Thanks!
