[RC] boots/weight and gaits - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

 Adding weight to any hoof retards the timing of that hoof in relationship to
the others,increases lift,and increases length of stride. REMOVING weight at
the other end of the horse does the reverse.To say nothing of the fact that
removing that weight by removing the shoe speeds timing of the breakover. Thus
the stepping pace horse can be made smoother by going barefoot in the
rear,which is good for the horse anyway,as opposes to adding weight at the
front,which is bad for 'em unless done very moderately.
