If the sale barn is in a brand inspection state,
they must have brand inspection papers on each horse or they could be in deep
do-do. If anyone has proof (as opposed to feelings or rumors) that stolen
horses are being sold at a sale barn, contact your local and state
authorities. Stealing horses is a felony, helping someone sell stolen
property is also a felony. A sale barn is a business; therefore, the law
will assume that they either know or should know livestock laws
etc.
