Re: [RC] pipe panels as stalls in barn - Andrea FaustinaSorry I am coming in late on this, I am only on digest #2617. I'm trying to catch up! : ) I also hope this hasn't been mentioned. Anyhow, be very careful with pipe corrals especially if you plan on foaling out in a stall with them. The foal can roll under to the other side away from the mare. It is also possible for the foal to become trapped between them. If you do use them you could do what I did which is attach conveyor belt to it to make it a solid wall. It is also forgiving but strong enough to withstand hooves and teeth. I also had a friend whose mare (not a foal but a large 16+ hand horse) got stuck somehow in pipe corral fencing. She tore her legs up so bad it was down to the bone. She had to go to the vet for reconstructive surgery. Thankfully she is fine now but one of the legs is permanently larger than the other, a kinda stocked up look to it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
