Re: [RC] LQ or camper? - heidiWell I think the big difference between a camper/bumper pull and a LQ trailer is the COST. I think the LQs are super cool but gosh, I am waiting to win the lottery or something to afford one! I'll stick with my inexpensive used camper for now. :-( Depends on how fancy you need it! Yes, the factory-made ones are a bit pricey--but we bought ours for $4500 a few years back, and it has been quite serviceable. It is a home conversion steel trailer that will haul 3 horses easily, with a walk-through door from the LQ to the horse area. It has a stove and a fridge (although that has ceased to work and I haven't fixed it), and we add a portapotty and hang a sun shower in the back when we get there. I sure appreciate having a home-away-from-home that has a comfortable bed, heat, cooking facility, and portapotty, and in the summer, we sweep out the back when we get there and put all the "stuff" (including portapotty) back there so that we have much more space. Hubby fixed saddle hangers over the bench, and it has bridle hangers.
