Re: [RC] re: Pommel Packs-another thought - Dabney FinchThat's a great idea about RM number Cindy.I just bought a neat little cell phone holder that velcros around under the knee or on upper arm--good for those riders (like me) who prefer not to wear a fanny pack or camelback. They sell them in Back in the Saddle, but I found one cheaper on e-bay. --Dabney ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cindy Collins" <ccollins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, May 11, 2005 2:37 PM Subject: [RC] re: Pommel Packs-another thought When I read about losing the cell phone, I felt I needed to write and say that you should never have your cell phone or GPS attached in any way to the horse. They need to be attached to your body. They are most valuable in an emergency...when you and your horse are parted and you need help. BTW, I always get a cell number for ride management and write it on my hand or vet card, so I can call for help if needed. This past weekend I felt terrible when a rider was hurt out on the trail and I had left my cell phone in my truck accidentally. Bet I won't forget again any time soon.
