You all really need a holiday in Egypt. You can't go anywhere, even downtown Cairo, without seeing hundreds of horses. Some of them, admittedly, are not in the best shape since they are working animals owned by people who don't even own furniture, but many are Arab crosses to die for....what we call 'Mercedes horses'.

I read King of The Wind so many times it fell apart in my hands and when I moved here thought that I'd died and gone to heaven. Not far off too.

I can't remember a time when I didn't love horses. The books were just fuel for the fire. To this day I take certain routes to work just to look at the neighborhood horses. Any trip anywhere is just one long "spot the horses" game for me.
