Re: [RC] White hair - girth buckle? - Becky Huffmanplease reply to the list, I'm interested in this as well. I also ride in a dressage saddle and while I don't have white hairs coming in (yet), I have noticed the pressure points behind the buckle in spite of the padding and the elastic. I've looked at different girths and haven't found anything much under $300 that looks like it'd be any different. JRR Tolkien, The Silmarillion ----- Original Message ----- Has anyone had a horse that developed white hair where the girth buckle sits, and if so, what was the solution? I want to keep this girth, it is the only one that keeps a saddle from rolling around my barrel shaped horse, but I don't like the white hair appearing. BTW, I ride a Wintec Dressage Pro saddle, so the buckles sit pretty low compared to most saddles - it is a waffle neoprene type saddle with full elastic on both buckling sides.
