RE: [RC] Epics w/out heelstrap - Linda CowlesHi Karen, Whenever I have lost a plastic cleat, I've used duct tape to cover them. ...I may still use duct tape, just because it seems wrong to do a ride without using it somehow <bg>. ;) As an ex-ultra runner, I like the, ahhh, romance of duct tape too! I took the plastic cleat covers off immediately because they looked like they'd do more wall damage than the cleats! :*o If the boots are tall enough to be touching the coronet band, maybe a smaller size would work? I only mention that because my horse always took a size 2 easyboot over shoes, there is no way you could have gotten a size 1 on before, but now that he is barefoot, I can get the size 1 on -- even tho when you hold it up to the bottom of his foot the boot matches it almost identically width-wise. Gabby's foot has grown from using a size 1 to a beefy size 2 after two years of being barefoot, but if I take the heel strap out of the Epics, maybe a size 1 will work again. Aside from the cleats and wall height, I love this new design.
