So long as you send the papers in, you have time to send in the payments. AHA is good about that. The important thing might be to leave your options open :-)

I just registered my two youngest horses, and they wouldn't even send me the DNA testing kit until they had my credit card and gotten all of the paperwork. But I did make the deadline and got two horses registered for the price of one ;) They also charged me more than they told me it was going to be over the phone. Oh well, at least now I have two real Arabians. One even has a "+" symbol next to his name now.

Here is a link to the AHA distance riding program in case anybody is interested: http://www.arabianhorses.org/competitions/distance/dist_programs.asp I figured I would enroll the youngest horses in it, since they are just starting their careers. The two older horses I have would cost me a fortune to pay for all of their back years, so didn't think it would be worth it.
