Subject: RE: [RC] Revisiting vaccination problems - LisaI wrote a couple of weeks ago questioning the usage of homeopathics instead of vaccines since I have a mare who has nasty reactions to the Rhino vaccine. Received lots of good information, still researching homeopathics. I went ahead and had this horse receive the 4-Way vaccine, but no Rhino. Within 48 hours, she was completely lame in the rear, could barely move. UGH UGH UGH. Today I took her to an 'alternative' vet -- This is a man who was a DVM for 25 years, and now does acupuncture, chiropractic, herbals, etc. on animals. He still recommended I do the 4-Way, but also use the homeopathic Thuja right after the vaccines are administered, as well as a couple of days after. He highly recommends Thuja for all horses sensitive to vaccines. Thuja was mentioned by Marlene Moss in an earlier posting, who used it successfully last week. So, my feeling is it's definitely worth trying.
