At this point I really don't care if he's not registered he's a great horse, I just think it is wrong that he cannot show his ancestry. You could probably get a copy of the sire's papers (since that owner sounds very nice). I believe anyone who is a member of the registry can get you a copy of the dam's papers (since that owner has her own issues with this). Both sets could be displayed nicely in a large frame, or someone with a little word processing expertise could put together a nice document with appropriate photos and details of each parent's ancestry. Since Shiner's a gelding, it's not like future generations would be affected. And you would have nice documentation of his ancestry. Just a thought...
