Yes, you should be concerned, and if it were me, I would find another place to keep my horse. Obviously, you and the barn owner don't agree on how horses ought to be cared for, and you have a barn owner who is unwilling to agree to disagree. This is not a recipie for a good working relationship with the person who you are entrusting with the care of your horse....and you have evidence that he has a vet that is completely insensitive the the individuality of his patients.
