I'd say use what works. $21.60 isn't much to try and see if you like it. On the other hand, $64.80 isn't much money for a little piece of metal that works well in controling a 1000+ pound horse. The Waterford is a good bit to have in your barn.
The waterford's balls don't move. They work more like massage balls instead of something rolling around in the horse's mouth. My horses don't "play" with the Waterford like they do with a roller mouth.
