Bob has extensive, invasive ringbone in both hind pasterns. It is
extremely advanced. I would be willing to send xrays to anyone.
Bob did the LD Championship in 2002 (725 miles) and NEVER took a lame
step. It is high and low with bone chips.
I retired him from competition, the prognosis was grim if I kept pounding
him. last Sunday he gave me a ride for my money!!!
I have the joints injected with some conconction every 3 months.
Ringbone should not be taken lightly.

I understand that ringbone is most painful during the formation. If that is indeed true, then I would questions the vets saying that would not be affecting him currently. My horse has some low ringbone. In the early stages it was painful. Now he is fine. However, it does not affect a joint. I'm imagine that advanced ringbone in a joint would always be painful.
