Subject: re: overnight lodging for horses needed

Someone suggested I contact this web site for help.
I'm looking for a place to overnight 2 horses and 1 llama on the night of March 19 or March 21 between LaGrande  & Ontario, Oregon on I-84.  Horse hotel or private party.  We will pay for board.  We have feed and water.  I'm a member of Back Country Horsemen and Oregon Equestrian Trails.  Thanks, Karen

Here's the whole story:
I'm on the internet trying to find places along I-84, to stop over night, with 2 horses and a llama.  My daughter Kimberly and I are hauling her animals to their new home in Wyoming from Salem.  We plan to leave this Sat. March 19.  Does anyone know of a place in the LaGrande area or a little east?, that will take overnight horse stop overs?  We just need a place to stall or turn out 2 mares, PREFERRABLY turn out in a small dirt area. We don't want to stay at the county fairgrounds because we won't be staying on the grounds with them. We will get a motel.  And it could be possibly dark when we arrive in your area.  Depending how many times we have to stop to give the girls a rest. One mare tends to colic easily, and has never been hauled a long distance before.  We want to take it really slow, stopping every 2 hours or less. The llama will stay in the horse trailer over night.   We will pay for horse lodging and will have our own feed and water. We don't care if it's a horse hotel business or a private OET'r that could help us out.  We'd like to find a place fairly close to I-84.   Also we'd like to know if there is a place to stop, between Salem and LaGrande for a mid day turn out for exercise...close to I-84?    We have current coggins, health cert. and brand inspections.  We have a place in Odgen, Utah already lined up for our next nights stop.
We plan to take 3 days to travel.  Laramie Wyoming is our distination.
Any suggestions would be very greatful.
Thanks so much for your time,  I've been having some problems with email, so if you respond and it gets returned to you, please try again.

Sorry for such short notice, but one of our other daughters is getting married this Friday night and we are all running crazy with last minute details.
Permission to cross post.
