[RC] "Easy" mare <rated pg-13> - JulienneThanks for everyone's thoughtful advice on my hussymare. I spoke to my vet yesterday about some options and she agreed that Regumate was messy and expensive to deal with. She's had good luck with progesterone implants with mares in the area and has suggested that as a starting ground. Depending on the current level of hormones the mare currently secretes, she has experienced the implants lasting anywhere from 3-6 months. I'm crossing my fingers since Isabella goes into winter anestrus that she will be in the latter category. :) She's due to get her teeth done tomorrow, so I'll probably get the procedure done while she's under. Not a second too soon either - after lunging her lightly yesterday, I've found that she's a bit off and her back is still quite sore from the bite. I don't even want to know what she's been up to out there! Julienne & Isabella (soon to be in pseudo-pregnant bliss) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
