Re: [RC] Vaccinations by mail - heidiIf it's a reputable company, I think it's reasonable to have as much faith in the chain of accountability of the retailer as my vet would have in his supplier. Lapses are all too frequent with mail order vaccines, from what I understand. To be on the safe side, though, we will keep some epinephrine ready at hand when vaccines are administered. Lack of refrigeration will not increase your reaction rate (you should have epinephrine on hand anyway)--it will simply mean that your horse won't be protected.
